Thermo/Probes, Inc. introduces our NEW Oil Wicking Seal Fitting (vacuum sealed) that will stop the oil from wicking, in all Thermocouples (TC’s) and Resistance Temperature Detector’s (RTD’s). No longer will you need to temporarily fix the oil wicking problem with wires, rubber grommets, silicones, epoxy, feed through fittings, or feed through wires.

Our Oil Wicking Seal Fitting is a one-time installation, permanent fixture; the only thing you will replace is your (TC’s) or (RTD’s) and two [2] O-Rings.

The Oil Wicking Seal Fitting can be installed on the casing directly or in a location you prefer. Installation of the Oil Wicking Seal Fitting directly to the case of a turbine, motor, generator, or pump can be made as long as you have enough room inside of your housing and the wires will not interfere with the gears. The optimum installation is by using Thermo/Probes, Inc's specially designed, Stainless Steel Oil Reservoir Box equipped with a canister to contain the oil as well as the (TC) and (RTD) wires. Our S.S. Oil Reservior Box comes in multi fitting installation and in single fitting installation. The stainless steel design will keep the oil clean.

Available is an adapter that allows installing the conduit direct to the Oil Wicking Seal Fitting.

The oil reservoir has an inspection plate to install (TC’s) or (RTD’s) through the Oil Wicking Seal Fitting.

You must hard pipe to the inlet of the multi or single fitting Stainless Steel Oil Reservoir Box. As long as the S.S. Oil Reservoir Box is installed higher than the out port, the oil will always drain back into the turbine, motor, generator, or pump. Installed in the S.S. Oil Reservoir Box is a ¼” coupling for a plug or a valve to drain the oil if installed lower and the oil will not drain back.

If there is oil in the reservoir canister, you can pipe it back to the casing or drain it to a waste area. This will keep the oil off the ground, solving environmental issues. It is best to install a valve to save the oil.

By using the Thermo/Probes, Inc. NEW Oil Wicking Seal Fitting:
*1. A one-time installation permanent fixture; the only thing you will replace is your (TC’s) or (RTD’s) and two [2] O-Rings. If for any reason the (TC’s) or (RTD’s) are not replaced, the only cost will be two [2] O-Rings
*2. Resolves the oil wicking problem of oil getting into your terminal box, head or the instrument PLC, through the conduit.
*3. Never need to replace any oil, as well as solving costly environmental issues.
*4. Existing terminal boxes can be replaced with Thermo/Probes, Inc. special designed Stainless Steel Oil Reservoir Box.
*5. Eliminates multi connections between the (TC’s) or (RTD’s) and your terminal box.
*6. Eliminates the need of a “temporary fix” using wires, rubber grommets, silicones, epoxy, feed through fittings, or feed through wires.
